Sleep Deprivation

Sarah was doing so well sleeping 7-8 hours at a time at night before waking to eat. I was feeling so good and was even getting up at 6:00 am to work out. Not this week though. Sarah decided that she was only going to sleep about 4 hours at a time at night and she has hardly been sleeping in the daytime at all. Sleep training the fourth child is so difficult because there is so much else going on. It seems like every time I get her to actually sleep in the crib I have to get her up to run somewhere for the other kids. And bed time is hard in the evenings because I'm gone so much for church stuff. What do I do about this? I need more sleep to be able to function!
Here's the little night owl at 10 weeks (above) and 11 weeks (below)

Well, I have to go wake Sarah up so I can pick up the kids from school and run to the store.

Slacker Tooth Fairy

Will lost his 2nd tooth on Friday. He pulled it out himself and he was very excited about it. We helped him put it under his pillow before he went to bed and promptly forgot all about it. Well, on Saturday morning I came downstairs to find Will with his tooth and tooth box and he said "Mom, I didn't get a dime!"
Oops. "Maybe the toothfairy was really busy last night." I told him. "You should try again tonight and see what happens. Well, luckily the tooth fairy had enough time to squeeze us in on the second night and Will happily reported getting 50 cents for his tooth this time.

Sleep

Sarah slept for 8 and a half hours last night! I was very excited when I woke up at 5:00 and she hadn't gotten up yet. I hope she keeps it up from now on.
I put the bassinette away today because we moved Sarah out of our room and into her crib on Friday night. She and Savannah seem fine with the new arrangement.

Here's the good little sleeper at 9 weeks old

Being held by her adoring older brother. He really can't get enough of her, it's very cute.

Two Months Old Already!

We took the whole family to all three hours of church yesterday for the first time. I thought it was going to be rough, but it turned out to be fine. I was very excited to put Sarah in this very cute dress and I have to say she looked adorable.

Here she is on April 11-Two months old

She is very generous with the smiles and we are so excited for her to start laughing sometime soon I hope.
I took her to the doctor today for her two month check up and here are her stats:

11 pounds 1.5 ounces 58%
22.5 inches 52%
and 15.25 for head circumference 45%

I was very surprised that she is so average! After seeing all the tiny babies at church yesterday who were born soon before or after she was I thought she was gigantic. The doctor said she is doing great and he is happy with her progress. Yay for a healthy baby!

Craft Time

Last week was Spring Break for the kids so on Wednesday (so I wouldn't go crazy stuck in the house all week with four kids) we picked up my mom in Bountiful and drove out to Tooele to visit my sister and her kids. We had a yummy lunch and then made new church bags. I made this one for Savannah. I think it turned out really cute!

Then yesterday we went to my parents' house for a birthday/Easter party. It was a lot of fun. More to come on that later. Before the party the boys went shooting and the girls did some sewing. Ali and I made some burp cloths for our baby girls. It was a lot of fun and by sharing fabric we both ended up with several burp cloths for not much money. Great idea Ali!

Easter Morning

The kids were all excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought for them on Easter morning. We found some great treats in the baskets and the Easter Bunny hid some candy around the house for the kids to find as well. They loved it!

We had a nice big breakfast and enjoyed the day relaxing and watching conference together. It was a great Easter Sunday.

Easter at Waters

We celebrated Easter with Robby's family Saturday. It was so much fun! I love the annual easter egg hunt and getting together with the family. Kim always puts on a good party.
The kids decorated their baskets first and played while the adults searched for eggs out in the backyard. Then it was the kids' turn to look for eggs downstairs. Each kid had a different color egg to find.

Isaac wanted to open his and see what was inside right away.

Papa holding Sarah while the kids hunted for eggs.

Candy, prizes and money, oh boy!

We had a delicious meal and then had cupcakes, cookies and ice cream for dessert.

Then it was on to the egg-dyeing.

Isaac and Gabriel coloring eggs.

Thanks for such a great party Bill and Kim! And we missed those of you who weren't there this year.

Peter Pan Play

Savannah and Will were in their school play last week. Will was a pirate and Savannah was a fairy. It turned out to be really cute and both kids did great performing both nights!

He's pretending to hold his sword. (Maybe he's the invisible swordsman?)

She's flying!

Will forgot to flip his eyepatch back down.

Thanks so much for all the family who came up to watch the kids perform. It meant a lot to them to have so much support.

Sarah Pics

I am loving the fact that Robby's sister got a new camera for Christmas. She has been great to do a couple of photo shoots of Sarah for me. These are from when she was three and a half weeks old.

Thanks again Jessica!
This is a better family picture from Sarah's blessing day-well, at least Sarah is not crying in this one.

Six weeks old

Yesterday (7 weeks) in her cute dress for the Easter party at Robby's parent's house. She looked so cute!

Visiting Grandma Great

Last Monday the kids were out of school for a teacher prep day so we met my parents in Bountiful and we all went to visit Grandma Great (My Grandma Aird. The kids call her Grandma Great) I was excited to introduce her to Sarah and the kids were thrilled to be able to play at her house. The weather was pretty nice for awhile so we sat out on the back porch and talked while the kids played. It was great!

Meeting Grandma Great for the first time.

They love the swingset. It is the same one my dad played on when he was little.

Isaac was more interested in playing soccer after he got hit by the glider.
Love you Grandma Great! And thanks for the pictures (and for going with us) Mom and Dad.
