Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love being able to focus on the Savior and also do the fun stuff with the kids too. We spent the week reading in the scriptures about what the Savior was doing in the week before the first Easter and I was really happy with how interested the kids were in reading each night. It is so nice as they are getting older that we can have a spiritual discussion and I feel like they are really understanding what we are talking about. It was also good for me to have a little refresher course on what really went on the week before Easter. I had forgotten some details about what led up to the crucifixion and the ressurrection of the Savior.
It was also fun to do the traditional Easter activities with the kids. They were very excited on Saturday night to put out their baskets for the Easter bunny.

We had to get started really early on Sunday morning to get everything done before 9:00 church.
The kids waiting to come downstairs and see what the Easter bunny left for them. They wrote a note asking the Easter bunny to hide their baskets this year. Isaac was the first to find his basket by the couches in the family room.

Sarah was starting to act a little bit sick on Saturday so she wasn't too interested in her basket at first, but she warmed up eventually.
Sarah really liked her stuffed dog. She is such an animal lover.

Isaac dove right in to his candy while the other two were looking for their baskets.

Will found his basket in the lazy susan.

Savannah was last to find hers, but she finally found it in the dryer.
Before we headed off to church we took a few pictures.
